Bit Confused?!

Ok im a bit confused I have be given the option of hsg or laparoscopy does any one know which one is better? heard some real horror storeys about the hsg!
Also is it normal for having these tests done, im bit confused because the problem is I dont ovulate but even if I have blocked fallopian tubes that doesnt stop me ovulating does it? it just stops the egg traveling down right? x

Hi,

I don't know about HSG but I had a laparoscopy a few years ago because I had abnormal cells and they had to remove them (burn them off) and it is just camera thing in your woo hoo and it was fine. I was under a local and didn't feel a thing. I was going to have to go for another one to check for endometriosis where they would of gone through my stomach but I moved and never ended up going to the appointment so still don't know for sure if I have endometriosis or not.

I hope this helps, I would maybe ask your doctor what they are trying to achieve and what would be the better option though.

yeah I have another doctors appointment tomorrow so think im gunna try push a lil more for the laparoscopy cause had a look and that one offers more of of a proper look, as the hsg just checks falliopian tubes and is ment to hurt as your awake during it!
But still dont get why that helps with ovulation lol! It just seems sumtimes doctors can just talk jibberish to you lol x
