Bleeding again on Mirena Coil

I had the Mirena Coil fitted about 3 months ago, this past few weeks I had stopped bleeding - even spotting, but today I've started heavy bleeding again, like a period... Is this normal? Me and OH had sex for the first time since it's been fitted 2 days ago, could this have caused it?

Yeah hun it could have been, I had mine put in 2 weeks ago, had no spotting, got my period (as per schedule) a week later, and now we've had sex a few times and I've spotted a bit after each time.

Its totally normal hun. I had mine fitted 5 weeks ago, and the period I had since lasted 16 days and went from mega heavy to spotting every couple of days. It can take up to 6 months to settle down.

yeh its totally normal i had to have mine removed on tuesday has it was half hanging out so now i have to have it re fitted
