Anyone had this?
I had my first bleed at 6 weeks pregnant, had an early scan, all was fine and no cause of bleeding could be found
Carried on spotting regularly right through first tri. Once in second tri I thought it would stop but I have had 3 episodes of bleeding. The latest being today at 19 weeks 5 days.

I have spoken to midwives but no one can seem to tell me anything apart from rest rest rest and that as long as baby is moving then I shouldn't worry.
I can't help stressing a little though, I mean SOMETHING has to be causing the bleeding but no one seems to have any idea what!

sorry for the rant, I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar?

OMG i am having the excelt same thing you are right now but mine been non stop brown for weeks now and they dont understand why!!!!! a week or so go was in the er due ot red bleeding couldnt understand from what tho

I had bleeding all the way up to 20 weeks. It stopped around 20 weeks and then I had just small amounts of spotting until it stopped completely at around 22 weeks.

No one was concerned about it, apart from me! I had no extra care or investigation.

They gave me the same advice....rest and as long as baby is moving and HB is heard, everything is fine.

I was told many ladies get unexplained bleeding...sometimes they can't see why.

It was a very worrying time and of course you can't help stressing a little. Just try to remember that many women get bleeding and have beautiful babies at the end of it. I'm not trying to sound patronising at all, but stress isn't good for you or little one.

Sorry I can't help, but I do know what you're going through :flower:

This can be perfectly normal. I've had 4 pregnancies, and all but one had some kind of bleeding - mainly in the first trimester. I was told there was an area of placenta where it had come from, but it was never cause for concern.

Medics are never very forthcoming about these things, unless there is an identifiable cause and treatment. Otherwise you are kind of left to "wait and see". This is very scary for you, and not very helpful, but all I can say is I had very healthy pregnancies despite the bleeding x

Hey

I'm having this too except I'm 33weeks!

I had my first bleed at 14 weeks which DR said was probably down to a small "raw" area on my cervix but wasn't convinced. I've had a few bleeds since which have been bright red and few spoonfuls but no-one can tell me what's causing it. It's only when I have a bowel movement and by the time I get to hospital to be checked it's stopped - no DR has been able to tell me why it happens yet xxx

I bled during my 2nd pregnancy from 12 - 19 wks continuously.
I had test after test and extra scans 2 keep an eye on baby. but it wasnt until i was around 26-28 wks they found i had a sack of blood under the baby just above the cervix - they hadn't noticed it in previous scans.
but thankfully it was nothing 2 worry about and for me a relief 2 find out what it was.
