Blood Results - Anti-D Prophylaxis

Hi Guys,

Just had my blood work posted to me and it says i have O rhesus negative blood and that i have no red cell antibodys it talks about Anti-D Prophylaxis and needing additional screening at 28 weeks.

Anyone else been though this?

Hi!
I have O Rhesus Negative blood too and it's nothing to worry about. You just get an Anti D injection (in your bum cheek or thigh) at approx 28 weeks and if you have any bleeds/complications in pregnancy.
It's just to stop the chance that your antibodies might attack the baby if he/she has a positive blood type.

Can I ask how long it take to get your results? Had my tests over 2 weeks ago and no letter yet. Assume no news is good news, but would have expected to hear by now! Thanks x

yes been about 2 weeks but with the postal strikes i am surprised i got it at all
