Me again- with yet another worry!!!!!!!
This morning when I went to the loo I had red blood with a clot in it- I don't think my hubby has ever heard me scream so loud!
I have had some brownish blood for the last 2 days- which I thought was old blood from the pap smear I had on Thursday along with my early scan, but golly- did it scare the life out of me.
We went to A&E this morning, which we both sat in the waiting area crying. They sent me to emergancy gynae and low and behold there was the doctor who had performed the very painful pap smear.
To cut along story short they clamped me again (sounds like i'm a car!!!) and it really didn't hurt as much. I started bleeding pretty heavy again and they established that my cervix was closed and the blood was coming from the crevical ectropion I have, which is external to where peanut is. The Doctor also admitted that it was becuase she had damaged it on thursday.
They are still sending me for a scan Monday morning just to make sure- but it is a good sign that the cervix was closed.
Apperently cervical ectropions get worse in pregnancy, so I may bleed all through it.
Anyone else heard of these ectropions? I was told I had one years ago and it is quite common in girls who are on the contraceptive pill.
