Blood test before scan?

Following some spotting a week ago I'm going into EPAU tomorrow to have bloods done to see if my levels are high enough for them to do a scan.

Has anyone had this done?
I know ppl have blood tests done all the time, but has anyone had them done especially to see if they are high enough to do a scan? I'm assuming its in part as my LMP isn't obvious.

Does anyone know what the threshold would be? And how this would correlate to how many weeks pregnant?

I'm 5+3 by ovulation, but I don't have an LMP as my last bleed was my miscarriage on 10th Aug.

Yes I had an ectopic earlier in the year.

I had beta done and came back 700, nothing was seen on a scan.

Generally they say you can't see anything on a scan with levels under 1000.

yes, my OB won't do a scan until hcg is over 2500.

I'm having a scan on Wednesday with the hopes I'm over 2000 - which is my doctor's threshold.

hCG came back at 8231 so off for a scan on Thursday.

My levels were 9000 yesterday and I have a scan on wednesday so levels should be almost 18000? I'm so nervous! Good luck everyone x
