Have you guys done these tests? what were your results?

My blood tests are all normal.

The nurse could not give me the results in relations to fertility for the biopsy...so I have to wait for the doctor's interpretation. But the appointment is in 2 weeks. I am going to ovulate before I see the doctor and would really like to try this month. Not sure what to do; however, the nurse did make it sound like it was "normal" .... but she threw me off by using the word "malignant" - this usually means it's bad... not good.

I'm so confused.

Usually an endometrial biopsy is used to check progesterone levels by measuring the thickness of the lining. If it is thick, there is sufficient progesterone, and if it is too thin (based on what day of the cycle you are in) then you are deemed low-progesterone. Did you have it done for another reason? I would think (and hope) that they would give you the results immediately if there was a major concern. However, if your DR gave you an endometrial biopsy for low progesterone, and you have had many early m/c, then I would wait. There isn't a whole lot of hope for the embyro without sufficient progesterone. This is my problem. *IF* I actually get pregnant (I have to take Clomid to make a better corpus luteum = makes more progesterone & I take progesterone supplements) then me keeping it is the hard part because of my low progesterone.

I went to the specialist and they ordered all the basic tests for me because I insisted. I don't think he specifically wanted the biopsy done for any other reason than to just "check" everything we can at this point. The nurse had indicated that the blood test showed I had very good progesterone levels. She couldn't say much about the biopsy because that was up to the doctor to interpret the results along with my temperature chart. She didn't particularily mention there was anything of major concern... I have had 2 early m/cs though, 1 @ 12 weeks and the other at 5. On one hand, I want to continue to wait to make sure, but on the other, I don't want to waste anymore time as I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with me. I have good progesterone levels and a normal luteal phase (14 days). And I've been reading so many personal stories on the net where the woman have success pregnancies the 3rd time around... but never found out what happened with the first 2 m/cs. *sigh* I don't know. I know I'm ovulating in the next 2 days though.

So how did they find out of your low progesterone problem? Through blood test and biopsy?

Blood test. I have basically no progesterone. Based on what you have said *I* would probably try then. But, it is totally up to you. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Oops. So I got clarification from the doctor’s office today. The nurse had told me there were no malignancy found…. I only heard wrong and thought she meant my results were malignant. *whew* now I’m a bit more reassured.
