Blood when wiped..

Hey girls, just wondering if any if you have had this. I've just been to
the loo & when I wiped there was a small amount if blood. I thought it could be my show but then everyone says it's like snot but this was just just like watered down blood. Should I be excited or concerned?..

I'm not sure hun, the only things that spring to mind are either bloody show or your cervix has been irritated somehow, have you dtd recently? that can cause it, maybe lo putting pressure might as well but don't quote me on that, I've read that slight bleeding is normal unless it accompanied by pain/contractions, see what happens in the morning and if things progress call your midwife hope thats any help

hey honey, i would call your MW babe, it could be your show but if blood is found without the mucus plug always best to be safe and get it checked over....

Thanks for reply! We dtd a couple of nights ago - probably quite roughly aswell. I've got no pain what so ever. I've put a pad on incase anymore comes away but I feel fine. Was just worried at first, seeing blood for first time in 9 months is quite scary! Lol

No it wasn't a lot, first time I wiped it was quite distinctive but then 2nd & 3rd time I wiped it was getting clearer and clearer. My OH said to check just inside to see if there was anymore which I did but there wasn't...

Have you checked your skin hasn't split a little bit as this can happen as everything gets swollen down there, could also be another pregnancy joy - piles. If you can manage it get the mirror out and have a look. If it is a little split they can bleed lots.

As far as I can tell I haven't split. I'm sure there would be some sort of pain but there's nothing. I've just been to the loo again but there's nothing this time. I've been looking on a few other sites & a lot of them are saying it could be the start of my show & I should only really worry if there's a lot of blood. Part of me was getting excited but now I think it's nothing lol x

lol you can't win its better for it to be nothing though then something wrong, you're lo is probably very comfy in there and won't be making an appearance for a few more weeks, I sometimes get the same thing a few days after dtd so its probably common regardless of how much it makes us worry/puts our hopes up

that happened to me with a lil blood then i started having irregular contraction an hr after but i kept bleeding till my LO came out i had a heavy show def see ur midwife so she can check where its coming from

Thanks for this. I've woke up this morning with nothing. I was hoping something would start during the night but didn't lol. No more blood & no contractions/Braxton hicks or anything! z

ok well i think you could have had early labor but it could have just stoped ??? with me i had lots of early labors and then it just stopped it was very fustrating indeed ... good luck not long for u now
