I am getting so fed up of reading in newspapers/magazines about pregnant celebraties who are worried about how quickly they will get back to their pre pregnancy body...

Do they not realise how much of a gift it is to have a healthy baby at the end of the 9 months that that shouldnt matter....

I dont wish what I have been through on anyone but sometimes wish a celeb in the limelight went through the same because at least then it would be made public rather than kept quiet.... it would make people realise this does happen and hopefully teach people not to take pregnancy/babies/life for granted!!

sorry for the rant!!

Hi hun, I totally agree.
This fad of having a 'perfect' body after having a baby is ridiculous let alone un-realistic and unhealthy.
I hate that people moan about their stretch marks like they're ugly or something but I think in fact they should be celebrated as baby marks as thats what the hard job of nurturing and caring for our babies inside of our bodies has done and we should be proud of that!
The only way we're ever going to stay looking like 19 year old virgins forever is if we have stupid amounts of plastic surgery! Then in the end we will look worse....embrace what you have been given and cherish every moment you have a baby inside you~ it wont last forever and sometimes not as long as it should (as us angel mummies know!) And sadly the only way people will realise how unimportant body image is is when they have had a terrible tradgedy like we have and the things in their life re-arrange themselves in order of importance and priority.
the most important thing to me right now is that my baby comes out alive and screaming...sod the blooming baby-weight and stretchmarks....
big hugs hun xxxx

:hugs: I agree. It gets me upset... I kind of figure that it's their job to look like that all the time, so they need to look their best.
Even if, unfortunately... all they care about is looking back to normal immediately after birth!

i only have a few tiny stretch marks from Kasper and kinda wish I had more...my reminder that i am a mummy and I carried my son for 8 months.

WIsh people would enjoy their pregnancy instead of moaning about it all the time...pregnancy and a baby is a gift...i wish people realised that.
