Bloody Nose

Has anyone every had a bloody nose late in pregnancy. I'm at 38 weeks, and just had a bloody nose. It was really quick. It actually started when I started crying...reading a book... I blew my nose a couple times and it stopped. It freaked me out a little... this is my third baby and I've never had a bloody nose before.

I'm not too worried because it stopped quickly, but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.... I have had some sinus issues lately, it could also be from that I guess. In my last couple weeks, and freaking out about a bunch of things I guess....

Ive had a slightly bloody nose throughout my pregnancy. But only when I blow it, nothing too bad. I know Im not as far along as you are, but I am still getting them occasionally. I dont think that its really anything to worry about from what I have read, no matter what stage of pregnancy you are in.

Thanks for your response. I am sure you are right. It didn't bleed very long, and mostly only when I blew my now after the initial drips. It was a lot of blood though, so I was concerned for a minute. The more I have thought about it, I have had some sinus issues over the last 2 weeks, so, I'm thinking it was due to that , and I actually feel like I can breathe better today. 10 days to go!!! Yay!!!

It's normal. There is alot more blood in our bodies during pregnancy and the blood vessels become inflamed in the nose so the littlest thing can set it off.

I think it's normal babe. I had a bleeding nose this morning. First time I've ever had one in my life. My bedroom looked like a murder scene lol.. xxx

I looked in the mirror yesterday after a shower and was really shocked to see blood all down my chin and towel!! I've never had a true nosebleed like this in my life, so got a bit of a shock, but it passed straight away.
Just another of those strange pregnancy joys I guess!
