Bloody show, labour soon??

I'm pretty sure I've had a bloody show today. It was a mucusy discharge and brown spotting, and all day more spotting.

I've been feeling crampy and had acupuncture last night to try and induce labour. I also had a sweep Wednesday (48 hours ago) and had a tiny bit of spotting.

Has anyone had a bloody show and how soon did your labour start? I have an induction booked for Tuesday and really trying to avoid it.

I think the bloody show does mean impending labour, I know you can lose your plug for weeks as it regenerates but the bloody show is the start of all things, bounce on a birth ball or go for a walk see if you can jump start things and good luck

With my son I had my bloody show on a Thursday morning and was in labour when i woke up Friday morning!
With this one I had a bloody show on a Friday morning and went into labour the following Tuesday afternoon. I would say labour will be happening soon for you! Good luck xx

How are you doing?

I *think* I may have just had a bloody show?! Seriously the tiniest amount, blink and you miss it type thing but I shall be keeping an eye on things! I'm a bit scared!

I lost my mucus plug a week and 2 days ago, it did not have any blood in it, then yesterday and all last night i was losing more, this time with a brown tint to it.. and still nothing i had a sweep last tuesday as well.. I hope you are more lucky then I am!

I lost part of my plug on Wednesday and the rest yesterday, but not officially a "bloody" show. I am already 2-3 centimeters dilated, but so far no labor! I am having a c-section (scheduled for next friday) so it is more the anticipation of not knowing if he will make it to that date or not

Having my bloody show was my first symptom of labour! By the following day I was in early labour and the day after that I had my baby! Good luck to you and hope it happens soon

It's been about 20 hours and noting yet. It's morning now. All day yesterday I had more spotting and small bits of mucus (there was one large glob of it with brown blood about 12pm. I think i got excited for nothing

Don't lose hope yet! Mine very gradually started coming out (lots of brown bits and blood)...I think having your show, unlike losing your plug, is usually a pretty definitive sign that you will go into labour soon. Hang in there!

With my 1st I lost my mucus plug 3 days before going into labor and it was tinted pink. With my second my water broke and my 3rd the morning I went into labor I had bloody show. It was red blood with lots of mucus and a fair amount. There was no denying it was bloody show. I also remember with our second and third there must have been a change in my hormones as with my 2nd I was super irritated and couldn't calm myself and with my third I kept crying that day feeling sad for myself that I wasn't in labor yet. So look for your emotions going out of wack as a possible sign too. Chin up, soon... I know it isn't soon enough.

Argh!!! It was Friday at 12pm I had a bloody show and lost more plug through the weekend. It's now 9pm Sunday and labour hasn't started!

I'm booked for an induction at 7am Tuesday

With my 1st I woke up with stomach cramps and went to loo and lost my plug (pinky mucus) and was in labour by lunchtime, I was 8 days over. x
