I bought them because they are wing and blue cheese flavored and they are my favorite and i have been craving them like crazzy!!i looked at the back and it says "blue cheese flavor" so i assume it means its obviously artificial but i know you are to steer clear of blue cheese in pregnancy. Question is, can i just eat them? they are calling my name:cry:

Eat 'em!! It's not real blue cheese, and even if it were it's been processed and dried, so I'm certain all of the listeria risk is gone. Enjoy!!

Oh my goodness, where did you find them? I love love love blue cheese and am missing it like mad!

Very much doubt they will have any of the problems linked with proper blue cheese :) x

I eat blue cheese anyway, but the chips aren't even a risk.

You can eat many blue cheeses in pregnancy anyway, as long as they're hard cheese (like stilton) rather than soft cheese (gorgonzola or Danish blue). I've always eaten stilton, but yes, you're right, there's probably no cheese in them anyway, just artificial flavoring. I've never seen blue cheese flavored chips before though, but those sound yummy!

I think (not certain) that Canadian law prohibits the sale of cheeses made from upasteurized milk. Whenever I read the labels on soft cheeses, they always list pasteurized milk as an ingredient. I thought the risk of raw cheeses was due to listeriosis, but the pasteurization process would kill the bacteria.

Best chips ever! I have eaten plenty of these... go ahead and enjoy them! :)

Warby - Oh I really hope this is true! I love love love love all cheese, and if I could eat any cheese sold in Canada - well, let's just say I would be one happy pregnant lady! :-) Going to google it now~

I googled too because I wanted to know for sure. Raw milk illegal, raw cheese legal. But those seem mostly available at farmer's markets and specialty places.

Every cheese (soft or hard) that I have purchase at the grocery store is made with pasteurized milk.
