Hi All,

I know it is early at 12 weeks and all but I have to order most of my baby stuff soon and fly it back to dubai whilst I am home at xmas. (there have the same stuff here but it is soooooooo much more expensive, like double the price!!!!).

So i am picking prams etc now ready. :happydance: Now the thing is I really like the quinny buzz. My fave colour is the electric blue .......... now i think it would be suitable for a girl as well as a boy, with a few hot pink accessories (like the sun canopy i will need anyway).

I am getting my NT scan on sunday where they will take a guess at the sex but just incase we dont find out before xmas....(scan after that is at 15 weeks)

i dont want a black or dark pram as it will absorb the heat and get too hot. and the other colours arn't rocking it for me....

What do you think ladies? is the blue pram suitable for a girl?

i would definately pick the blue for either! if you do have a little girl im sure you could throw on a pink blanket and you would be fine. thats a really nice colour blue too!

I bought my pram secondhand, and it's a lovely blue velvet before I knew my babies gender. The lady I bought it for used it for both her boy and girl, so I think it's a lovely colour for either and like you say, you can always accessorise

i'm waiting for my quinny buzz to arrive today, it's the limited edition black framed one so it only comes with a black seat but i love that blue, def ok for a boy or girl!

Definately suitable for a girl! Like you said, you can accessorise it with the pink hood, but even without it, its a really lovely fresh blue colour, and I don't think its at all masculine!

ahh thanks ladies!!! glad you agree!! 1st prams are very exciting..... x

emme, i really like the black too but it would cook the baby out here :). have you gone for the new one seat option, or the interchangable seat? read about the one seat on the quinny website but cant find it anywhere....

I def think it could be for both...this is what we are getting and we are really hoping for a girl after 3 boys!

ooo nice i like it! similar blue. i bet there is lots of blue in your house already too :laugh2:

i am hoping for girl, but i have a strong feeling it is a boy.....

The nice thing with that color is that if you have another baby later and it's a boy you can still use it. I had a blue and white checked stroller with my daughter and it worked just fine! Her blanket and clothing showed she was a girl just fine :)

Hi MimiUK

I'm in Dubai too and can't believe the cost! Home at christmas but a bit too soon, so shall head to the UK at Easter and do some shopping then and bring it back with me.

not a great selection of cool baby things here, considering!

I've got a blue bottomed cameleon and got it off of ebay before I even knew gender of baby!

hmm, i see what you mean about it cooking! it'd fade very quickly too :(
it came with one main seat, and then a sort of insert pad, they say it's two seats but it's not really. they come as standard - is that what you meant? xx

oh, and if you like the black framed version they do it with a white seat, although not sure how practical itll be with a baby lol xx

Well if you ask me its far more practical to buy a blue pram because if you go on to have any more, you can use it regardless. if you have a pink pram, it would be harder to use it for a boy wouldtn it? I think i would need to sell it. I had a navy blue pram and used it for both boy and girl.x

Thanks for all the advice ladies!! :hugs:

in a shock last min turn around, and after seeing emmes poste about the limited edition black model!! i have to confess I fell in love with it's sleekness!! it is on route to my Mum as we speak........

OMG!!! i just wont have to leave it outside!! lol after all my winging about a black pram i have ended up full circle and ordering one! lol :haha:

poor baby! to be honest i dont go out in the sun much here so shouldn't be an issue.

prego perogative to change your mind i think!!!

p,s ooooooo PJ you are a dubai expat too! how are you getting on! i will pm you..... i dont know anyone here who is prego so need to start my mummy circle :flower:
