Hello all,

My LO is turning 6 months next week and I want to get myself prepared. Iv read up on this forum as well as online but still feel unsure and nervous on how to start her on baby led weaning. Is it recommended to read some book first, if so can anyone recommend one? Or are they not worth the money?

I think we will start on some steamed veg but where to go from there I'm not sure!

Thanks xx

I haven't checked prices elsewhere but these are the ones I'd recommend:

The original BLW book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-led-W...d=1387532857&sr=8-1&keywords=baby+led+weaning

and the Cookbook: https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Baby-l...d=1387532921&sr=8-2&keywords=baby+led+weaning

I wouldn't get both. If you're happy you can cook/have meal ideas, the first book would be fine. It goes into how and why you would do BLW, although I found it a bit repetitive. The first few chapters really told you everything you need to know, but if you want reassurance the whole book is good. If you're happy with a short bit of how and why and then practical ideas for foods, get the cookbook. I've seen the first one in the library and I've seen it around cheaply too.
