BM to treat Pinkeye?

I posted this on the breastfeeding board but havent got any responses so I figured id try my luck here
Has anyone done this? My stepmother told me to use it for diaper rash and it worked and now she's told me it can Clear pink eye too, just wondering if anyone else has done this and how long it took to clear it up!*

Yes it can help, but if it goes sticky or get sore looking baby may need antibiotic drops. Hope it clears soon.

When DD was a newborn she got an eye infection and BM helped tremendously! Go for it! But yeah keep an eye on the infection and I would tell your doctor about it just to make sure you don;t need any antibiotics as the previous poster said.

I already went to the Dr for it and got antibiotics in case it doesn't work but so far it deffinately seems to be helping. I should have mentioned my stepmother works at a drs office and the dr is the one who told her to try it before antibiotics. Also it was the first day that it had popped up so it's not like he's had it for a while!

I tried it last month when my DS had pink eye, but it only made his eye and cheek area get more swollen. Not sure why! Salt water drops helped a bit and the antibiotic drops from the drugstore.
