Hi ladies!

Don't know if any of you have experienced this or have any insight. I'm almost 38.My cycles are pretty regular and can pretty easily pin point ovulation between cd12-14. Normally right after ovulation, my breasts are quite sore and full from 2 dpo until af arrives BUT for the last 4 cycles no sore breast- no swelling whatsoever. Weird right? Does this signal hormonal imbalance or possibly peri-menopause? I'm still having regular cycles and other signs of ovulation. In the last year I've had 1 miscarriage and 2 chemicals.

I did have all hormone levels checked 6 months ago and everything looked great, but that was before this started. Don't know what's up with the girls!!

To be honest, I found things just changed with my cycle as I got into my 40's and after a mc. Symptoms became stronger, and then non-existent sometimes. Breasts, veins, cm, backaches, cramps, chronic nausea - if it was a pregnancy symptom I would have it and then the next cycle nothing. I think for me it is the fluctuating hormones - so yes perimenopause was the cause unfortunately. BUT, I did get pregnant during this time too!
Anyway, good luck.

Fluctuating hormones makes a lot of sense. I've had a few cycles recently where I was convinced I was pregnant because of other symptoms like nausea leading up to af. So awesome that you were still able to conceive anyway! Thanks so much for responding!

Are you sure you are ovulating? The cycles i don't ovulate no soreness.

I guess it's possible that I'm not, but my cycles have stayed regular with normal periods. Still getting 3-5 days of ewcm with one sided ovary pain. The problem is I can't temp. I have chronic low grade fevers because of autoimmune condition. So charting is not an option for me, even ob agreed that in my case it's pointless to temp.

That sounds good then sounds like you have all the other signs. I get periods even on the months i don't ovulate so i wanted to make sure you were considering that too.

I missed by opk surge last month but think i still ovulated cause of the boob pain. Do you ever use opks?

Maybe you could have your progesterone levels checked 7 days post O to confirm ovulation and make sure your progesterone levels are high enough to sustain pregnancy.

I have used opk's in the past, but because my ovulation signs are so strong, I just felt like I was waisting money.

I think you're right about having my progesterone levels checked. I've had low progesterone in the past and was on prometrium for almost a year (not having to do with tcc), but ob said it was ok to stop because my levels had come up so well and it was making me feel sick. I'm wondering if they dropped again.

Ironically, I woke up today (9dpo) with moderately sore breasts! Thanks so much for your input- I really appreciate it!
