OHs brother has asked for an idea for christmas from me and i'm thinking of asking for a book but I really can't think of one I want. Does anyone have any good suggestions please? Probably between £5 - £10. Thankyouuuuu :flower: xx

Any of Cecelia Aherns books. I love every single one of them.

One Hundred Names is the new one and really expensive on Amazon (not sure why) but the other eight are all around £5.59 each.

The Casual Vacancy - J K Rowling - First adult book and was fantastic
The Hunger Games Trilogy - Suzanne Collins - Couldn't put it down.
The Fifty Shades Series - E L James - Wasn't a fan but many love it.
Twilight Saga - Stephanie Meyer - Wasn't fussed but I am apparently the minority.
Confessions of a Shopaholic Series - Sophie Kinsella - Almost as good as Cecelia Ahern.

If you watch Vampire Diaries (it seems that loads of people do) the books are available in Easons. (They were books originally.)

The Portable Door by Tom Holt - absolutely hilarious modern fantasy. Think Terry Pratchett's Discworld stuff only much MUCH better.

or

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield - fictional spiritual story that really makes you think about your life differently. Many people have credited it for changing their lives.

Ohhhhhh if you like horror you should read the house of leaves! It's really long and the format is a bit complicated but it is sooo scary.

Dean koontz Is good as well as John Saul.

The Hunger Games trilogy - amazing!
Any Lee Child (author) book. Jack Reacher is my fictional hero and the books are unputdownable! Not sure I'm gonna watch the film - I think it'll ruin the books for me. Tom Cruise is not how I imagine Jack Reacher to look! :nope:

The Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness (dystopian)
Black City by Elizabeth Richards (dystopian)
One Hundred Names by Cecilia Ahern (chick lit)
The Bone Bed by Patricia Cornwell (crime)
The Ritual by Adam Nevill (horror)
Birthdays for the Dead by Stuart Macbride (crime)
The Light Between Oceans by M.L Steadman (general fiction)
These Things Hidden by Heather Gudenkauf (general fiction)
Sister by Rosamund Lupton (suspense/thriller)

I'd recommend joining Goodreads for inspiration. I love my Goodreads account as I can keep track of what I have and haven't read (I read so much I tend to forget if I've read something until I'm a few chapters in  ) The books above are my favourites from the past three months. I read more or less any genre, reading is my "thing". Good job I have a Kindle or my house would be full of books

Out of all of those though, if I could only recommend a couple it would be the light between oceans and sister. They are both really really good, not what you expect at all.

'No Time For Goodbye' and 'Too Close to Home' both by Linwood Barclay are great books :)

If you like crime Dennis Lehane is a good read! I love him I've re read a few of his books bit of a book worm and always run out! Ha
