We have done his with Easyjet u just have to put infant then surname and confirm when born! Still have to pay each way which used to be £25 each way! But if your going somewhere where the flight is cheaper u an book them a seat even if they are under 2, u just have to call and speak to someone to do it! Will get hand luggage allowance then too! X

Just a little update: We called Easyjet and they said to just book the tickets for the two of us (the adults) now and then once he is born, call them and add him on. Hopefully we won't have any problems with this!

Oh and you can take two baby items all the way to the gate for free (i.e. a foldable pushchair and a car seat), whereas you can only take one with Ryanair. (also, you get to board straight after the speedy boarding with Easyjet, and Ryanair don't care and you'll just board according to where you are in the queue... So in my opinion Easyjet is definitely better when travelling with young children on a low cost airline!)

We did this with my son and were told just to put 'infant' and whatever the surname eg 'infant smith', when baby arrives phone them with the name xx
