How do i know if my baby is swallowing too much air...please give me some tips?? Iv noticed when he is drinking there is always bubbles in the milk...what is this??x
Depends on what bottles you are using. Most bottles suck air into the bottle through the milk as baby drinks. Best bet is to go for something like Dr. Brown's where the air goes straight to the bottom of the bottle when it is tipped up and therefore the air does not get incorporated within the milk.
the bubbles usaully pop before they are sucked up. there is usually an air inlet in the teat. you can turn the bottle to control where the bubbles go.
if your baby swallows too much air he will burp when winded or it may get trapped in which case he will get uncomfy and cry alot whilst hitching it knees up - called colic.
