I want to breastfeed my baby but wondering whether I will need bottles etc? I want to make sure I am prepared as theres no baby stores (other than boots and the store is tiny and doesn't do much more than the basics) within 30 miles of me so I cant just pop to the shops and pick some up :dohh:

I'm not going back to work, dont know whether to express a few times a week for OH to feed? When its only a few times will the baby refuse a bottle?
Should I get one of those breast feeding starter kits that come with a pump, storage containers bottles etc?

I think since you aren't close by a store I would probably get like a 3pk of bottles just in case. I never used a single bottle with Hayden, Mark didn't feed him until he was on solids. But that way if for some reason breastfeeding doesn't work out or you need to supplement you will have it instead of it being the middle of the night and not having anything you know?

I got a pump and steriliser, both of which came with bottles. I recently picked up some storage containers for expressed milk too.

It's best not to introduce a bottle too soon as it can cause nipple confusion and baby can refuse breast. It's recommended that you wait about 6 weeks but you can start expressing sooner and store the milk in the freezer.

Best of luck :)
