Bowel lining problem with baby?

We had an ultrasound today. The technician was not good. She didn't take all the proper measurements and didn't tell us to look away when looking between the legs so we are still team yellow but I'm fairly certain I know...

Anyways my midwife called me back many times while I was at work but couldn't take the call. Once I got a hold of her she said the radiologist thinks there could be a bowel lining issue. He thought it could have been due to a different probe being used or it could be something to look into more.

Anyone have any idea of what this could be? I think the midwife said it was thicker but I could be wrong. So I'm not sure.

I have the option to either wait until the end of the month to redo the u/s (I have to have it anyways because I measured at 28weeks today even though I'm only 24w so we have to check on baby's size and fluid levels) or I can do it ASAP. They said they are ok with either. I talked with DH and for now we are going to wait until the end of the month. Because I'm guessing if there is something wrong finding out now rather in a few weeks probably wouldn't make a huge deal as I'm guessing there isn't much that can be done. And I think it would be easier to get a sitter for my boys with a little notice.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Sorry your going through this worry, personally I'd rather re do the scan ASAP I'm not sure what the potential issues could be but what if theres something that could be treated?
It's your choice u have to do what's right for u :hugs:

I personally would redo the scan ASAP. I would rather know sooner rather then later if there is a potential issue with my LO. I hope that whenever you choose to do your re-scan that everything comes back ok.

It's totally your choice but if it were me I'd personally want to know ASAP if there were any issues as if there was an issue then you never know if there's treatment or anything that can be done to help.

If they're happy to scan you ASAP then I don't see why you'd want to wait.

I'm still going back and forth. I think if they thought it was serious and they could do something I think my midwife would not wait as I've had many complications already. I'm still debating and may go in this week still.

Does anyone have any idea of what this could be? From what I've researched I think it could mean echogenic bowel (which can clear on its own). I also had Percocet the week before this ultrasound due to a pilondial abscess. I wonder if that is contributing too.
