I've heard lots of women say they had problems holding their bladder after they've had a baby, but I've never heard about bowel problems. I have no control over my bowels. As soon as I feel like I have to go to the bathroom I HAVE to go right then or else I will have a major accident. Then after I go and wipe COMPLETELY clean, the next time I go to the bathroom (just to pee) some poop has leaked out onto my pad and when I wipe there is poop there. I'm gonna see my dr. in a week, but just curious.

:hugs: I have no clue on this but just wanted to give you a hug.... Doesnt sound fun at all :hugs: Hopefully your Dr will have answers for you....

Doesnt sound right....hopefully your doctor can inform us.

Thanks! I hope it's nothing serious. My sister told me her friend's were so damaged she had to have surgery! I hope it's not like that!

The dr. said it's because I tore through the sphincter and it could take 6-8 months to heal, if it ever does. If not he said that after I have the rest of the babies they would do surgery again. If I have them naturally. He suggested maybe doing a c-section for my next babies, that kinda pissed me off. I've done it once, I can do it again.

oh holl ! so sorry to hear that ..

Thanks, I'm not really worried. It is what it is. It's really annoying and means I have to wear pads (which I am anyway, still).

I had this at first but I'm alright now. Hope you get it sorted!

Ouch, you had a third degree tear???

Yeah. Not only was she the size of a 3 month old, she also came out completely side ways so her shoulders completely tore me apart (DH's friend got her a shirt that says, "I tore Mommy a new one." She doesn't wear it!). I didn't even realize I'd torn, but they stitched for well over an hour (I don't really know how long, but I have pictures time stamped 1 hour and 15 mins. after she was born and you can see the dr. stitching still).

Wow! You're a very brave girl. What a birth story. Will doing kegel exercises help at all?

Holl that sucks. I hope it heals and you don't have to have surgery.

Ok, here is my weird hind-end birth side effect. Since Bren was born, everytime I need to poo, I get a tingle down my bum cheeks, it is the strangest thing.

Thanks Lady3. I'm not brave, didn't have an option. I didn't even know enough to be scared. Kegels won't help, but tightening my bum might, he said.

That is very bizar Samantha! The bottom of my leg tingles when I breastfeed on my right breast.

Owies! I hope it heals up for you! I've had major diarrhea problems, but no leakage *knock on wood*

poor u holl doesnt sound plesant hope u feel better soon.
