Hello ladies!!

I was just wondering what brand of OPK's you all would recommend. I have only used the Answer Daily Ovulation Tracker this past month and I don't really know what to think of them. I would like to order some cheapies and just back it up with a more expensive brand just to confirm. I just don't know what kind to order!

Thanks! :)

My fertility specialist recommends the ClearBlue Digital. You can get the 20-pack on amazon.com for about $35

I used the Wondfo tests (also from amazon.com) and I think they were like $12 for 50 ... I used those and when I got close to me "expected" O date I backed them up with the digital!

For sure Clearblue Digital. You don't need to worry about looking at lines. And seriously, don't even look at the lines once you pop the test stick out. Just throw the dang thing out and forget about it! Just go by the smiley and no smiley. I used this kind for one month. I got only one smiley face and I just found out today that I'm prego! This kind recommends you test with FMU. Lots of ppl will tell you not to, but this one recommends it.

I started using OPKs for the 1st time this cycle to start to get a better understanding of how they/I worked before TTC. I bought the CVS 20 pack...but I'm finding it more confusing than helpful so I wouldn't recommend this brand. Initially, my 2nd line was a pale pink (CD 7-12). Then on CD 13 a skinny dark purple line was there at the edge of the pale pink. I read that one should consider it a a positive since part of the line was as dark as the control, so I assumed this was my surge. It coincided with the start of EWCM.

I've continued to use them since I was curious how they would change after surge & O....and I've been getting the same results now for 6 days (along with EWCM). I wish I'd taken pictures so I could compare but I *think* the purple line looks thicker today but today my CM also seems to have dried up. I haven't started temping either, so I really have no idea when/if I O'd. Next month, I will try the smiley face since the CVS brand seems to leave too much to interpretation.

Wondfos are great, especially if you're backing them up. I've been using them for about a year and a half. They seem to be darker than some others, so backing up with something else when you're not sure should work great!
