braxton hicks at 16 weeks anyone els had them ?????

i hav jus got back from the hospital after benn addmitted last nite with contraction like pains. though i was losing bubs but they checked cervix and still closed kept me in over nite pains still there. the doctor came round this morning and said that she thinks its braxton hicks but i though it was 2 earlie an now i am worried i will go into labour earlier. anyone els had these type pains.

babys heartbeat was 140 tho i no bubs is ok.

Hi there -I hae had BH from about 16/17 weeks -not painful though, but I definately know when its happening. Some ppl jsut dont feel them til later on but it shouldn't cos prem labour -I had them in pregnancy 3 from 16 weeks too and my son was born at term -39w+3d

aww thank u for the reasurance hun i am jus really worried i lost 3 babies and dont want another angle. these hav been agony for me. jus glad 2 be home tho but still in alot of pain with them x

I have had them with all mine, but only really recognised them later on.
I think mine start really early, to the point i felt one the other day! (not since but i know i get them from early on)
It feels like a tightening right across my tummy that gets tighter peaks then eases off, not painful in my case but noticible from the hard belly!

I have carried to term with all mine, the body just practices for quite a while!

Ps, don't not get something checked out though if it worries you again, if you get them and they worry you go to a&e so they can see them in action!

I had them around that time as well....and mine HURT! lol But Dr said that it was just BH and that is okay but if they happen more frequently or establish a pattern to call her right away. I havent had them since then either.

thanks thats what i did last nite went straigt up as i couldnt move from all 4s was in so much pain. and i still am but they hav sent me home as they cant do anything. they didnt put me on maternity ward tho which pissed me of. if i am still in this much pain tom i am ringing my midwife as i didnt see a midwife while i was there saw a gyne dr x

aww was urs in ur back aswell and no they arnt in a pattern they jus happen when they feel like it. but its hurts so much i think i hav jus sat n cried for the last 2 days x

I had my first in the early hours of last Sunday morning. Woke me up. Bump went really hard and felt like whole thing was contracting. Only lasted a few minutes, but was enough to scare the sh*t out of me. Hope all goes well for you hun xx

aww thank u hun i am hoping they dont last 2 long in agony with them. they jus comeand go but cant time them its mabey every few hours. and thanks about the bump i feel so big lol.
