Hey everyone.

As the title says I've been experiencing quite uncomfortable Braxton hicks and I'm a little worried I'm too early for them.

Has anyone else? When did they start?

im 20 weeks and been having them for a few weeks now so dont worry, as long as they aint painful or you dont have any bleeding or anything your fine lol xx

I've been having them since about week 18 and some days are worse than others. I think I read if you have more than 4 an hour call your midwife but don't panic it still might not be anything to worry about x

yes they are normal. you actually have them through your whole pregnancy even early on

hey babe :)

I have had them daily hun.... im just drinking as much water as possible and I have had them since about 16/17 weeks xx

I started getting them at 19 weeks. Midwife told me so long as they arent painful its fine.x

Yes i got them before 20weeks but noticed them more and more the further on i got. i get them quite often now esp when ive been active or walking about x

I've had them since 16 weeks. My dr said I shouldn't be having them that early like I was. I was contracting on her monitor. She's watched me close since then. I'm 26 weeks now. Over this past weekend, I was having lots and shebeens me to labor and delivery to be checked. I know some doctors don't worry too much about it, but mine likes to jeep a close eye. I've had preterm labor before though...

It's worth mentioning to your doctor/midwife. They may want to make sure it's not changing your cervix. Mine was in the low end of normal when it all started...

Can we define painful? Are we associating cramps with pain or cramps being separate? I can't seem to get answers and get conflicting answers from people. I guess I will bring it up on thursday at my appt. I'm a bit freaked out as mine stops me in my tracks...but I'm a wimp when it comes to period cramps anyway :shrugs:

They're not painful just uncomfortable and I had about 4 or 5 within an hour but as soon as I drank a litre of water they stopped. I've been sipping water all day and only had two yay!! So obviously there's a definite link between BH's and water

Thanks for all the replies :) I'm glad it's not just me :)

Overcomer if yours are painful enough to stop you in your tracks you should defo ring your midwife.
