Hi ladies,

I went from not knowing I was having these to them becoming extremely frequent. In the past two days I am getting them pretty much every time I get up. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after walking for a minute. I am feeling kinda bad for baby, like he's being crushed in there and my uterus is ill-accomodating. :(

I tried ringing the OB today but didn't have much luck, they won't be back 'til Tuesday. These do not feel at all like the real contractions I've read about. No back pain or anything. Just like my uterus seizes up into a tight knot. Sometimes it lasts for a couple minutes or more, other times it goes away without too much time. It's frustrating. Even in bed if I roll over I will generally get one. But, I feel bad getting up and walking around like I'm hurting baby. What do you all think?

Thanks!!

My last pregnancy every time I went for a walk ( I would walk for hours) and my uterus would be hard the entire time. I remember it happening when I was around 34-36 weeks..
I've noticed it this pregnancy already too. I'm not sure if it's normal but I will say it happens to me all day every day too.
It's def. bh for me too defiantly not contractions.

Man, I can't imagine this for another 10 weeks!

I get them even when I'm not walking! All day long i get BH's but the Dr never seems worried or anything.. I'm getting used to them now they happen so often

I get this too, every time I walk, stand up, roll over, sit straight. Sometimes they can last for twenty minutes!

Baby seems to be growing fine and moving fine so I'm assuming it's ok.

When I'm standing around or walking for a long time I seem to get them, or if I'm sitting for too long of a time at work I get them as well. Today I had 5 in one hour while sitting at my desk and had to get up & move around for them to stop.

The baby will be fine. My poor friend had BH for the last couple of months, sometimes they went on for ages. Her son is now 2 and perfectly healthy :)

I get them like this too!! More frequent more recently (I'm almost 36 weeks) I've had them since about 25 weeks so gotten used to them!! I read somewhere that it's toning for the uterus and could make for more effective contractions during labour! Here's hoping hey!!

Yeah, definitely hoping this will help me out in labor. Guess I was just worried baby was being squeezed too much in there. At the midwife I had one when I laid down on the table. Right after baby was super active and the midwife was clocking his baby heart rate in the 170s. It took about 30 seconds or so for him to calm down. I wondered if the high heart rate was due to the contraction, or just normal for him to get when moving. If it's due to the BH then his poor heart is racing half the day, which to me seems concerning.

I get an almost constant one all day now, is worse when I'm walking/stood though x

It's the opposite for me; I only get BH contractions when I'm not moving for a long time like lying down or sitting down. But they go away if I get up and walk around. But yes, I'm also getting them more frequently the last couple of weeks though I've been feeling them for a long time now. I notice baby doesn't move while I'm getting these contractions but perhaps she is but I just can't feel her when my belly is so tight? I don't think it's anything to worry about unless they hurt, last too long, or happen with a pattern.
