I get loads of Braxton hicks and lately have been getting then really regularly throughout the day, generaly they just tighten my tummy, make me a bit breathless and uncomfortable (especially if baby is at my ribs) and they last about 20secs then ease off... well last night I got a few that were TOTALLY different, it felt like the muscles right down low and into my cervix were tearing and made me feel like I needed to go to for a No.2... I only had a few and was then woken up with a few random ones during the night feeling the same.

This morning I felt absolutely fine but just now its started up again and they are really strong, my hips ache and it feels exactly like my muscles low down are tearing...

Has anyone else had this? could it just be a strong BH that is making my ligaments pull? Thanks for reading ladies xx

my BH are exactly as you described yours to be before yours changed. As I had an elective section last time and didn't experience any labour pains so to speak I don't know what to expect but if I were you I would phone my mw to get her advice? She might just say that your BH's are intensifying, and that this is normal, or she might advise you phone your hospital for them to check you out?

Thanks for replying, I dont think anyone else had any clues lol. I have only had a few of them today mixed in with some ordinary BH but I think I will ring her just for her opinion x

They are probably just stronger bhs because they are irregular. I have some really uncomfortable ones that feel like things are stretching down below. Maybe they are softening the cervix and slightly dialating it already? My friend was already 4cm when she went to have a second sweep with her second baby last month and had only noticed some pains on and off the day before and ignored them, so it looks like things can be happening without you really knowing!
