I didn't have braxton hicks at all when I was pregnant with Aiden. I had them once with Mady...they felt like real contractions and lasted 16 hours straight (which was five times longer than my labor was) I actually went up to the hospital because I thought I was in labor.

I think your midwife saying everyone has braxton hicks contractions is like her saying that everyone has morning sickness...I'm pretty sure it's different for everyone.

You get BH from very early on but they can easily go unnoticed

Oh. WOW. I'm been having B/H then. My stomach goes really hard, but feel nothing. :O Lets hope I can deal with real contractions this easily. Considering I want a natural birth with no pain meds. SCARY!!

i was just in the hospital last night for my blood pressure and they hooked me up to the contraction machine (idk what it's called) and it said i was having braxton hicks when i could only tell because my tummy was hard. didn't really feel them at all. but i was having them every 1-3 minutes !

I never had any BH through my pregnancy
When I was actually in labour, I thought it was my first BH!
