At our 20 week scan baby was lying normally and no problems. We had another scan on Wednesday night and they said baby has turned around completely and is now breach. I know it's early days but I'm assuming this isn't an issue and baby will move loads more over the next 18 weeks? I've also noticed I've been struggling with my back again since she's turned around and is breach, is this normal for Breach babies or is this just pregnancy back ache in general? I've suffered on and off with my back throughout but it's been ok the past few weeks until Monday!

At this stage baby will be moving about and changing positions quite a bit. Mine was transverse at 20 weeks but head down now at 28

Sounds like normal preg back ache, dont think about position much till 36w.

It's probably just normal pregnancy back ache (which sucks none the less!) as at the stage you're at LO's position shouldn't make much difference. It is normal to see LO changing from transverse to breach, to head down at the anomaly scan, as they have the room to move around. Where I am (UK) breach presentation isn't an issue until 36 weeks and even then LO can still move by themselves :)

DD went head down at around 29 weeks last time.

I wouldnt worry about how baby is led atm as long as baby is the right way up (or rather down!) Alot closer to delivery x

I'd say totally normal hun. I've had two scans this week and on the first baby was head down and now she's breech. They move around a lot at this point, it's nothing to worry about :) the back ache is just probably one of those pregnancy things.

Thanks ladies I thought as much. I'm in the UK too so not a concern as its early days still! It's crazy how much they move and flip around in there!

With our first, I wasn't worried until she was breech at 32 weeks. We tried everything, but she was stubborn and never flipped. With our current pregnancy, the baby was breech at our 20 week scan, but I know there is plenty of time to flip. And if the baby doesn't flip, well, I'm already familiar with breech. :)

My girl was breech at her anatomy scan too but as everyone has said they have time to flip around. I don't have any backaches at all and I don't think a back ache is related to position. I hope you feel Better soon!

My twin 1 is currently breech last scan was at 24 weeks and even though my con said there's plenty of time for him to flip, it does worry me because there is 2 baby's in there and maybe not enough room to flip round 😁 twin 2 is currently transverse
