Can I give my daughter weetabix/oatabix? Do I have to use breast milk to make it? What do you give your child for breakfast?

yes these are fine u can use cows milk or breast/formula, i use cows milk on cereals, i also give shreddies just wait for them to go soft as with cornflakes and other cereals that aint packed with sugar tho i do give them about once sumtimes twice a week as a change, i also give toast with fruit, crumpets, bagels, with yogurt

My LO has just turned 8 months, she has either porridge or the cow and gate weetabix, but i have just ran out and decided to use 'grown up' weetabix instead! I think they have a tiny bit of sugar in and a little more salt but not loads! I use her Formula to make it, i also mix some fruit puree in there too, either homemade or fruit pot, or mashed banana! I sometimes offer toast too with no sugar jam, but more of that ends up on the floor unless i put it in her mouth myself & I like her to have a big breakfast =] xx

Yep we use cows milk and he's had weetabix, shred dies, porridge, ready break.

Phoebe has yogurt and/or fruit puree for breakfast.

You can give weetabix or ready break made up with cows milk. X

What are these fruit pots that people talk about? I've never given Myles anything "baby" food-like at all so I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Are they in the baby food isle or with the yoghurts etc? Also, when people say they give their LO porridge, are you just making it up like you would yourself or is there special baby porridge?

Our breakfasts are usually toast with 100% fruit jam, peanut butter, unsalted butter or mashed banana, home made pancakes or some fresh/dried fruit.

Freya has ready brek or "baby" porridge, or porridge (proper porridge oats) fingers. She's currently refusing all cereals though, and doesn't like weetabix of any description!

We also have pancakes, toast, yoghurt, fruit, scrambled egg.

We sometimes get her the HiPP fruit pouches and mix it with yoghurt for a change.

yes in the baby food aisle! there are hipp ones or organix, and i also add them to plainer ceral like wheat flakes or weetabix otherwise lo doesnt like them...i only buy them when they are on offer otherwise i make my own fruit pots with the tubs you get from those heinz custard pots (well handy lol)

otherwise lo has porridge or cereal with bm and i vary them everyday so that he has something different...haven't tried rice crispies or shreddies yet though
