Is there anything you would reccomend me getting?

I've got a pump, some milk bags, bottles, pads, and nipple cream...

Anything else that i can't think of?

Ta!

A few really good nursing bras is a must! Get some proper ones, with really good support. Just being able to ping off the front of your bra when you need to do a feed is essential!!

I found nursing t-shirts a god send. They look awful inside as they have a double layer with a hole cut out for your boob but they look normal on outside and I didn't have to expose my tummy when i fed! I wasn't very discrete when i fed and tended to have everything hanging out! LOL!

Yes, BF tops!! Although now it doesn't matter what I'm wearing, she'll still get to where she wants to be

I dont have any BFing tops. Just used comfy ones, and a BFing cover :) I also found nipple shields and nipple shells very helpful.

Do you have a pillow? I still use a boppy when bfing London at night! :hugs:

Hi. I agree about the pillow, and the breast shells and I also love the nursing chair my in-laws bought us. I only had a couple of b/f tops. Now I just wear a vest top under all my tops so I don't expose my wobbly tum :)

Our nursing chair is AMAZING! Really worth getting. We got ours from Kiddicare for £90 :)

i bought a nursing pillow and have hardly used it cos it doesnt get her high enough up and i end up having to put more pillows underneath lol, its easier just to carry her, i never bothered with BF tops either, bought a couple of strappy ones from primark, theyre about £2 each lol, just wore them with a cardi over the top or another top over it so when i pulled the top one up i wasnt flashing my belly to everyone lol, never bought any nursing bras either, i have made a couple but tbh any soft cupped bra is easy enough to just pull up with ur top, i wouldnt stock up on too much until u know wot ur gna need, breast pads are essentials, as are breast pump, one bottle for if u do express, thats all tbh, buy the rest as and when u need it or ull end up like me with loads i havent used lol

x

I found a belly/bump band very useful. Its a piece of t shirt type material, that you put on under a top. Its stretchy and covers the belly lower chest area. I'm not describing it very well ! Anyway i felt less exposed with it on, as my wobbly tum was hidden. Good supportive bras i feel are a must. Give yourself and your baby time to work it out and drink lots of fluids GOOD LUCK

Well i think im defo going to get measured for some nursing bras nearer the time, cos i'll wear them either way lol. I bought a wicker chair thing to put in the nursery so i'll have somewhere to sit and a little stool to put my feet on.

The rest - i'll see how i go, i'll defo need to get something to cover my wobbly bits up with when i go for it in public!

Well I bought nipple cream, never used it, or needed it
My friend made me a boppy, thank god I didn't buy one, I never use it
I bought a bunch of bottles for when I pump, I really only needed a couple
I bought a medela pump, I love it.
I bought nursing pads, I went through hundreds.
And I have one nursing top, but never wear it lol
Hope this helps :D

oh yeah you'll want nursing bras!

i'd recommend mothecare nursing bras. i started with m&s ones and they're shit, dont do anythin to hold my boobs up! i am about an E tho. i dont have any BF tops, havin big saggy boobs, katie covers my tum for me as she lies on my legs and covers the whole thing!

washerble breast pads are great, more comfy than throw away ones and you cant see them under your clothes. also i found lillypadz (google it) a great product.

be careful with mothercare bras. i got a size E and my nipples pop out of them yet a E in m&s is perfect.
