One of my breasts is feeding very bruised on the underside. I can't feel a lump but could this be a sign of matitis? I don't feel particularly unwell but as I'm extremely tired and suffering from a cold anyway it may be hard to tell in the early stages.

Could be. Normally it is red if it's mastitis and hot. Sometimes mine feel bruised if I've worn a bad bra, laid on my stomach etc. I'd just keep feeding lots to try and clear it but keep an eye out for anymore flu like symptoms. Antibiotics clear it up v quickly

I thought the same thing once, so I just massaged the lump area (ow!) when he ate and it felt better after a day or two. So I'm thinking it was a clogged duct and I dislodged it with rubbing at it. But I could also be wrong. Lol
