Breast pump and bottles - recommendations please!

Hi ladies,

I want to start expressing when my baby is around 6 weeks and my supply has definitely regulated. So I was wondering if you could recommend any particular breast pump and bottles that are best for breastfed babies? I would like an electric one and don't mind paying more for it if its going to work efficiently.

I have a Medela Pump in Style, and it's worked fabulously for me! LO uses Playtex Ventaire bottles. They're okay, and he took to them just fine... just lots of parts to wash!

I loved breast flow bottles for the aspect of mimicking breast feeding but they were a pain for nipple collapse. This baby I'm gonna try out tommee tippee ones

Oh and medela pump in style and a simple wishes hands free bra made my life mine again!

I've got breast flow this time as they are supposed to be great but I'm yet to use them!
I used tommee tippee with my first and found them to be awfull as she got terrible wind with them so switched to Avent and she went from breast to bottle with no confusion!

The best bottle for bf babies and also are recommended to be used for premature babies in hospital are the really cheapy ones the cheapest you can get with the really soft teats. They're easy for the baby to suck, are more like the nipple than the more expensive brands (too hard) and are smaller so don't make the baby gag. I have a full set of avent bottles which aren't suitable 79p bottles are the way forward as for the pump we have a double electric avent and its great! X

mendela swing here! when dd was readmitted for jaundice i used the hospital pump and was shocked how crap it was compared to the swing! i use the tt closer to nature bottles which ds was fine with, dd doesnt like so much though so might try a different brand x

The medela swing is great, I can get 3 oz in 10 mins! I use the Avent bottles, my LO has had expressed milk twice & she seemed fine with this kind.
