Has anyone used any of the following brands of breast pumps?

Ameda
Hygeia Q
Medela

These are the brands covered by my insurance and I have no idea which product to go with.

I used the Medea electric double pump, no complaints did a great job and will be using it again with this baby.
If I remember correctly they use the ameda here in the hospitals, I used a pump for 3 days in the hospital with my first baby, no complaints either...but obviously didn't use it for very long.

I have an Ameda and it works great! I hear Medela is very good too but for some reason was twice the price. And highly recommend a double pump :) Having just a single is

If I had to buy it out of pocket, I might have looked at the cheapest... but with the new healthcare laws it looks like I'm covered on electric double pump models with no cost to me.

It also looks like quite a few have used Medela and are happy with it. I've also heard from my friend who gave birth last year that she is happy with her Ameda. So it is a toss between the Ameda Purely Yours and Medela Pump In Style Advanced Starter Kit (no tote)

I used Medela - Symphony for a year (double electric pump). I was working full time so had to pump a couple of times a day. Loved it. I successfully pumped and nursed my son for a whole year.

I used medela as well and it was great. I'll be re using it for this LO too!

I used the Medela Pump in Style with my first and really liked it, never had any problems with it. My hospital recommends it too. They use the Medela symphony in the hospital, so it's hospital grade and much too expensive to be covered by insurance, but I found the Medela double pump to work just as well once I got home, and it was small enough that I could take it to work in a discreet bag lol. Also I feel like it's easier to get parts for Medela than the other brands, I was able to find the little plastic filter replacement things at Walmart.

I used a Medela Pump N Flow with both my kids and absolutely LOVED it. However it clunked out on me (my kids messed with a dial on it and I'd have to send it in for repairs that would cost pretty much as much as a new one) so my dr offered me one through my insurance. I was told I was getting a Medela Pump N Style as that's what my delivery hospital stocks but they ended up mailing me a pump and it's an Ameda Purely Yours. I looks online and the reviews are mostly good though not quite as good as the Medela. We'll see how it compares. I figure if I don't like it, I'll keep it as a backup and buy the Medela.

I have the Ameda Purely Yours pump. It worked really well for me when I had my daughter. I used a Medela while in the hospital, but I always got more with the Ameda. I used it to exclusively pump for 6 months.

If it is covered I would definitely splurge for the Medela. We paid out of pocket so were happy to see a happy medium :)
