breast pumps

I fully intend on breast feeding and need to get a pump. I do not want an electric one or anything that makes any more noise and fuss than necessary he he!! I have my eye on the Avent Isis, which is £21 or the Tommy Tippee altrernative - any recommendations? Thank you!! xx

I think i have the tommy tippee but honestly i don't express, i don't have the time its just easier for me to feed my munchkin directly.

I have the Tommee Tippee one. It does the job but there's no bells or whistles, just a plain manual pump. I have heard that if you want real "results", then electric is THE way to go. I might upgrade to a leccy one if I carry on with the pumping.

I got a tommee tippee one and wasn't overly impressed. I probably wouldn't buy one till you need one as you can hand express if your desperate. Then when you do need one you could go to a breastfeeding club for advice on the best one. I borrowed a madela double electric pump from my local breastfeeding advisor as my daughter is tube fed and i can honestly say it was fantastic.

I use Medela Harmony, and it's a really good manual pump. I had one pump before that, but the Medela one is worlds better.

I have the Avent Isis and struggled with it to start with. So I bought the electric Medela mini and thought it was fantastic!!! Then after a while, my nipples started to really hurt with it. So I went back to the manual and I'm loving it now.
Try the breastpump hire service and see which one you like best before you buy.
