So my little boy is 19 week old today - 12 week corrected.

As he was in nicu for the first couple of weeks of his life I started expressing, when he was strong enough the hospital asked when I couldn't be there for a feed time whether I wanted him cup fed or bottle fed my breast milk. As cup feeding has it's risks I wanted him to have it from a bottle, if this meant he couldn't latch on then I would cross that bridge when it happened. As it did happen my little man latched on without a problem and when home I continued to give him the majority of ebm with one bf a day so that he would know how to do it, truth is I preferred giving it to him with a bottle so I knew how much he had had. He is now sttn and we bf morning and night. He has always had the odd bottle here and there of a cow and gate prem formula. But over the last couple of weeks seems to have had terrible gripes and I am putting it down to the formula.

The advice I really would like is what formula to use, as we approach 6month I would like to wean off the breast milk. How did you transition from breast to formula??

And also has anyone else's lo had gripes from cow and gate?

Thanks for reading , hopey waffling makes some kind of sense!

My LO didnt react any differently between breast and formula and we also use cow and gate. Maybe your LO just needs to get used to it. We will however be transfering over to Hipp Organic when LO turns 6 months as we use ready made formula and the Hipp is nearly half the price but also its supposed to be delicate on LO's tummy.
