I've just been breastfeeding for a week and everything is going great. But my LO is very gassy every day, which is quite uncomfortable for him. So I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to help this?
I'm already trying to eliminate all possible gas-inducing foods from my diet (broccoli, onion, etc...I don't eat dairy anyway so that's not an issue).
But when my LO is feeding, sometimes he sucks in a way that he keeps making smacking sounds. I'm thinking that maybe air gets in when he does that? I try to correct his latch when that happens, but it's not always so easy. It seems more a question of how he is sucking rather than how he is latched on?
Any ideas welcome! Thanks
