Hi ladies, I am still breastfeeding my 11 month old. I have had 2 cycles so far, both pretty normal. Now my dd is feeding quite a lot at night is it possible that my periods could stop again or increase in length? I have taken a pg test and it is negative. Thank you for your help x

Quite possible. My cycles occasionally went up to 40-45 days (and alternatively also went as short as 16 days). I don't think I had one normal cycle the entire time I nursed (3 years). Even now after not having breastfed for a year they can be unreliable.

My first was normal, second was light and short, same for the third, and the fourth lasted for ONE MONTH. Lol. They were all a bit early or a bit late for a while ... but after the Month of Horror, they seemed to get back on track and have been normal for many months now. It's common.

Got my first at 8.5 months pp, still breastfeeding now at 21 months.

I have had the same issues. We've been trying to conceive number 2 for about 9 months now and periods while breastfeeding are just a pain in the butt!!! I got my first at 7-8 weeks post partum, was normal. None for the next 4 months. Then 3 months of getting them every 20 days, lasting around 12 days each. Then 2 long cycles of 44 and 40 days, around 10 days long each. Then a 'normal' cycle - 30 days and period was only 8 days and I thought Finally! They are getting back to normal... Next cycle has lasted 44 days so far and AF is still AWOL :/ So frustrated! Especially as around cycle day 20 I had fertile CM for about a week with a positive OPK, yet HPT's last week were all negative and if I did O it'd make me almost 2 weeks late... But I'm betting its the breastfeeding delaying it again. It's also screwed up my bbt temps so I cant use that to track either. I mostly only BF at night now as well, but trying to wean as he's nearly 15 months and I would like him to start sleeping through the night. So it definitely can stop your periods after they start and they probably wont regulate until you stop. Hope this helps ease your mind :)

My periods only used to appear when R slept through the night (for one night now and again not very often!! Still doesn't sleep at 2years)

When R was feeding through the night I never got periods, soon as she slept through one used to appear.
