Hi ladies, just wondering if its true that your boobs are more saggy as a result of breastfeeding or is this not the case?

My boobs are big and full so they don't really sag, I'm dreading what they will look like when I stop though.

The sagging has no correlation to breastfeeding.

It's a result of being pregnant and the weight gain/hormones etc. of that, smoking and other issues. :)

I read another article that said the same thing the one Marge posted.

Well mine are awful, but proberbly more down to the gaining and losing weight...but it does sometimes feel like breastfeeding has sucked the life out of them lol

I breastfed my daughter for a year and still got 34DD's. I didin't gain alot f weight when i was pregnant so i believe it's the gaining and losing weight from the pregnancy that reduces the cup size and causes sagging.
Hope that helps

My friend is thin and always has been , she breast fed both of her children and they are now saggy. I dont know really..

Like Margerle said, breastfeeding does not cause sagging - getting pregnant may well do, though!

My sister breastfed, and her breasts are still big and full... although she did lay on her back the other day to hear her little boy (2 years old) say "Mummy where's your boobies gone?" My breasts show no sign of sagging yet, and I'm three months in - boobs have shrunk, but no sagging so far! :wohoo:

Lol To answer the question; No, there is no direct correlation between breastfeeding and sagging boobs! :D

Well after I had breastfed my first for a year, I gave up and after about a month the insides of my boobs seemed to just disappear! It was very bizarre the same thing happened after my second. But now they have filled out again, I had to do a lot of exercise to get to this stage though, and now I am having another.LOL!
I dont think it was related to breastfeeding though, if I had not breastfed I am quite sure that once the milk had disappeared I would have been left with the same empty and just flaps of skin boobs! Sorry tmi. Oh dear. Isnt it all just wonderful for us ladies. I wonder why the men get away with it so much.LOL!

Hmm interesting thread? Has anyone found that continuous exercise makes a difference?

boobs are fat aren't they? There's no muscle to exercise in the boobies is there?

yes, breasts are fat, but you can build up the pectoral muscles behind the breast. It will help keep them perkier and give them a fuller look, because there is muscle there.

I mix feed (breast & bottle) and my boobies are quite saggy but I don't think it's because of breastfeeding, I think they've always been that way lol
