This is 19 week old George, yesterday, latching for the very first time ever. He didn't feed but he fell asleep with my nipple in his mouth!

Just been reading your blog hopefulypony! You are doing amazingly so far and you have written your story with such a positive feel about things it is so nice to read! Im also trying to get my boy to relatch, managed it three times in the past two days today I caught him too late and he was getting stressed as he was too hungry so he wouldnt even acknowledge my boob im keeping positive though! Im now able to give him one full expressed breastmilk feed via bottle each day and its on the increase!

Hopefully one day I will be able to post a pic up of me and my boy here!

Thankyou I'm trying to offer boob as much as I can but I'm having limited sucess so far!

So glad he hasn't managed boobie gymnastics yet as that would just be double the challenge to try keep him still!

My boy feeding tonight.

I have to say I love breastfeeding, he does feed constantly(I was told babies nurse 8-12 times a day, he nurses closer to 20+, we just go with whatever he wants when he wants it!), but he is a wonderful little snuggle bug, I enjoy our quiet bonding time together and it is amazing to know that I am providing my son with all of his nourishment and the comfort he needs. He is growing like a weed too, he is 5.5 weeks and is already 3lbs 5oz above his birth weight, despite loosing a ton in the beginning due to jaundice.(7lbs 6oz to 10lbs 11oz)

As for the feeding all babies are different and I think your doing the right thing going with his needs that's exactly what I did

His latch looks amazing too!

Thanks. I'm very proud of how well we are doing. I don't mind the frequent nursing either, he is only going to be little and breastfeeding once. Also he does have a perfect latch, and has since birth(you can check out a picture of him nursing minutes after birth a few pages back). I'm very lucky that way.

Your right too it goes by soooo fast! My little lady self weaned recently a d it's heart breaking I would of gone on feeding much longer!

I saw the pic of him latched just after being born you are so lucky he is a champ

Gah. I have such a good photo opportunity minus nipple shield but my phone doesnt have enough battery to take it and my charger is in the other room :'(

my new strategy is to wait till he falls asleep, wedge my boob in his mouth while he is sleeping and then wait... And wait... And then he starts nursing as he wakes up for a feed without realising its my boob blimey im a sneaky devil!

Got my 12 month blinkie yesterday. So proud of us cos we had a shaky start and almost gave in and ff in the first week.
