Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed at 1am!?!

I also do think she sleeps better at night if she has napped in the day. Don't think she is ready to drop the nap. She has been acting so tired that she's practically falling asleep while standing but still can't drop off.

I hope you've had a better few nights. Teething is awful. The first thing I said when I found out I was pregnant "oh no not teething again"!!!

I have to agree with you about napping and sleeping better.
Over this last 2 weeks as you may remember I have extended wind down time, taken Abbie out to run round as much as possible (But she's refusing to go out in this cold weather - typical Brit!)
She has also been having naps, depending on what time she nods off she has anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.
But this last week she had 2 days when she didn't nap, by tea time she was nodding off!
Then yesterday she was up at 4.08am and didn't go back to sleep :dohh:

As a result she napped at 12ish, in bed by 7.15, asleep by 8 and slept through until 6.15 this morning! :happydance:

Glad she slept better for you! Megan managed a nap 2 days ago and then slept through that night. But yesterday she couldn't drop off for a nap and was tired by 4:30. Well she went to bed a bit after 7pm and didn't fall asleep til almost 7:45. She woke around 2 again. ( which seems to be a typical time for her to wake up right now.. And I'm thinking that is when her advil wears off?) so she was awake around 2 and she never went back to sleep! So 6 1/4 hrs in 24!!! :dohh: she looks so exhausted! Nothing was helping her sleep last night. She got goofy and hyper around 5am and after that she just played in her crib and talked and laughed and was wide awake.

Hoping she has a good nap today!

Isnt it strange what being overtired does to them?! I mean, if I was knackered, I'd go to bed and quite happily sleep for a week but it never works that way with babies :dohh:

Glad some of you have had success with the various tips floating around this thread.. I have to say, Evie has been MUCH better since we put the extra blanket over her... we cant do it too early tho as she gets too hot. There seems to be a fine line for her between being just right and too hot/cold. But for the most part, this week has been pretty good. She's called out a few times and we've had to go in the odd time, but that's more to find her comforter (Taggie) or to cover her up if she's kicked her covers off. We've had none of the sitting up and playing with her toys like in previous weeks so I'm thinking that for now anyways, we have success! :happydance:

I miss him all day at work twice as much because I feel guilty that I've been frustrated with him at night. We are so rational about it during the day but come 2:00am I just feel despair at the moment

:hugs: I feel like this every night with Tom when he's awake. I'm super patient with him in the day but at 1am when I'm desparate to sleep I'm so miserable and a couple of times I've refused to get out of bed and told DH to do it. Then I feel like such a mean mummy :nope:

Last night he was awake from 9.30pm to 12am which wasn't as bad but he was shattered cos he was up at 5.45am this morning and had refused to nap yesterday.

I think people are right about being overtired - he's def worse at night when he is. And tonight DH managed to look in his mouth and spotted a back molar coming into the gum. Poor little man :nope:
