Hello, Everybody,

I am out for a bit of advice, if anybody has had a similar experience.

My husband and I have been ttc-ing for nearly 3 years. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with high prolactin and put on Bromocriptine. It took about 6 months to normalise the prolactin, but in September 2013 I eventually got pregnant. I was told by my endocrionologyst to stop the Bromocriptine if I got pregnant, so I did. Sadly, I miscarried at 12 weeks.

After my miscarriage, it took about 6 months to normalise the pro!actin again. It has been within normal ranges for about 8 or 9 months now, but I haven't conceived again even though I am ovulating regularly. I have recently started seen a fertility specialist that recommended I try Clomid to improve my ovulation. I recently had an appointment with my endocrinologyst team and have received a letter advising me to stop the bromocriptine when I start Clomid.

This really concerns me, since I've read that Clomid is not usually effective in inducing ovulation in women with hyperprolactinemia. If I stop the Bromocriptine, my prolactin will shoot up again, I will stop ovulating and will be back to square one!

Anybody in a similar situation?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
