Ugh. I get it every year. I always fight it naturally anyway because I don't wanna be on antibiotics 1-3 times a year for it. Anyway, my best advice is to get a vaporizer going and breathe in that steam whenever possible. Put some vapor rub in it, too, to help get the mucus flowing. Use a neti-pot if you're comfortable with the idea. Drink hot decaf tea or even hot chocolate in water. Stay away from dairy as much as possible, and drink as much fluid as possible. All you've gotta do (and it sounds easier than it is.. hehe) is get all the extra mucus out. Your body will stop producing it soon.
You could probably take antibiotics for it. I understand if you're like me and feel unsafe about it, especially introducing it to baby. I dunno what effects it will have on the child later on.
If you're really having trouble breathing, go to the doctor and get an albuterol inhaler. It helps to open up your lungs quite a bit to allow more air to come through. If you can fight this without it, definitely do so. It is Class C, but it's safer and works better than most of the medications out there that can treat bronchitis.
