Today .....

Well its her settling in sessions and im currently sat at home while my not so little girl is at nursery :( She has one more on Thursday, and then she starts full days on Tuesday next week!!

Dont really know how i feel about it  Excited, worried, nervous ... I did get a bit teary when i left her this morning but its the first time ive ever left her with someone that isnt a family member, so i guess it was always going to be a bit blerrgh. She was absolutley fine though and didnt even notice me go, which worries me  it was too easy :coffee:

aaawwwww bless her, bet she has a fab time and hasnt even had time to miss mummy with all the playing and new friends, she will be fine.. x

SNAP!!! its Freds first morning too! he is just doing monday and friday mornings 8-1pm, which seems like such a long time without him!

its a bit hard first time isnt it, all i have done is worry about wether he has eaten, cried, missing mummy etc etc, im sure hes having a ball!!!

she will be fine hon, its good for them xxx will she be going full time?

hope your well, not 2 minutes since we were waiting for them to be born :baby:

aww bless you both :hugs:

as a seasoned professional at nursery drop offs I totally know how hard it is, especially the first few days, but Seth is a totally different child now he LOVES it there & I think it's so much better for him than staying at home with me coz I just wouldn't have the focus to do things with him like they do there.

First few days are tough on you (not so much on them though lol) and it does kinda hurt to see them run off and not notice you leave but it's much better than them getting upset, and their little faces light up when you turn up on an evening :cloud9:

Theres loads of ups & downs but its a really good experience for them & Im sure she'll be just fine

:hugs:

x

:hugs: She will be fine hun, it bet she loves playing with the other kids!!

Enjoy this time to yourself!! x

Oh bless, well at least she toddled off happily. It would have been even worse if she was in hysterics and clinging to you x

:hugs: Hope her day (and yours) has gone well

:hugs: I'm lucky in the fact that my husband always did the dropping off. I'm sure she will love having other children to play with.

I try and get my other half to do the dropping off to !! I do the collecting

Lucas still crys now when we hand him over but by the time ive left room he has stopped thankfully. First few weeks were hell as he had been constantly poorly and teething but now we have turned a corner.

She will do great, im sure! Jasmine loves playing with her friends at the dayhome. It did take some adjusting though.

Aw I hope she enjoyed it! Noah's got a settling in session on Thursday and starts 12:45-17:45 a week today! I'm excited for him as I think he needs tr time to play with children his own age! I don't have many friends where I live and none of them have kids who live here so he needs somewhere to go to socialise!

I know the feeling hun...i only experienced it a month ago...i was really teary and emotional but a month and a half on he is smiling all the way and loves it which makes me smile too xx

I hope she had a great 1st day, its good to see them socialising with people there own age, Liams been in since 5 months old and I dont regret a thing, I love it when he comes home with paintings etc

She will love it and it will help her development no end being with other babies!!!

:hugs:

hope she enjoys herself!

i have been sending Ali to nursery since he was about 10 months old (part time). i am on matty leave just now after having Louiza but he still goes two full days per week. i personally think it is good for the child. at nursery he does things i would never get a chance to do with him at home, ie. baking, painting, teddy bear picnic, tartan day (list is endless). hope she has lots of fun!

Aw I remember Livvys first day, she had just turned 8 mths sadly i had to go back to work full time too so it was a tough deal, but as soon as we went in she was off playing with the other kids...not even noticing that i was going! I was worse off!!

On the whole it went really well, she interacted and slotted in with their routine well, though not when she climbed on the table when all of the other LO's were drawing

Last half an hour she was a bit upset, but i think thats because it was the time she normally naps so she was over excited and worn out!!

Today is day 2 .. last settling in session before she goes in for full days next week!! Fingers crossed it goes well again

OT but jeeeez how much paperwork do you have to do and how much do you have to send them in with  she needs a bloody suitcase
