Hi! Looking for some buddies starting clomid like me!

Intro - My name is Jess :) I'm 27, DH is 30. TTC #1 for both of us!

Last year I did one cycle of unmonitored clomid, but no ovulation and no period. I stopped because of a bunch of reasons but one main reason was because we wanted to find a good doctor who would be more hands on.

Then we did find her. She's awesome. :) She put me on Metformin 1000mg. She just upped me to 1500mg.

Yesterday I had blood work done, and was given a prescription for clomid and progesterone, to start my period since I'm CD54 and I haven't o'ed yet.

They just called to say my blood work showed I'm in the ovulatory phase, and to hold off on the progesterone to see if I ovulate on my own. She said wait two weeks to see if my cycle starts. If not use the progesterone. Either way, when my cycle starts again then I get to start clomid!

Long story, short.... I'm super excited!

Fingers crossed more ladies are starting clomid too!!

Bump!

Any girls out there starting their first round of clomid?!

Hey Jess, Im excited for you!!! I was jumping for joy when I was finally able to try Clomid.
I am on my second cycle of clomid, but would still like to join you on your journey.

A little about me, First round clomid feb, BFP but MC.
Was told to wait three cycles before I could go back on clomid.
Taking Clomid this cycle, currently on my second day of clomid pills. Im taking 50 mg, cd2-6. How about you?

Yay!!

Technically this is my second round too because my first round last summer did not result in ovulation.

I am so sorry for your loss though :(

I'm taking 50 also, CD5 to CD9.

Did you have side effects last time?

No, no side effects at all. I take it at night, so I sleep through symptoms. Didnt notice any difference at all!! in fact, I thought the clomid wasnt working because there was no side effects.:happydance:

started BC for 30 days and 1500 mg of metformin, got my cycle may 31 and called my dr on june 2, went in june 3 for an ultrasound, no problematic cysts, so I got my prescription for clomid on day 4 of my cycle (june 3). I have to take it for 5 days, so today is my last day, will return back to my dr on tues june 10 for 2nd ultrasound to find out if I have follicles, so we can start to try to conceive (the fun part)
I am working with a nutritionist and RE, best moves I could have made, my dr sent me to her after 2 years of no periods even on BC. I have PCOS, hubby is perfectly fine. No serious side effects from the clomid but I am crying as I write this, so emotions are def all over the place. me and my husband have not TTC before but have never used preventative measures since we've been married (almost 3 years) so I knew something was wrong. I've never had a regular period but never worried about that in my 20s, thought it was a plus but not i'm 30 and wildly in love with my husband and we want a baby and my whole world is just all over the place. my trigger shot arrived today, we may have to use it depending on my appt tues with my RE...a lot riding on tues...nervous.

Can I join in with you lovelies?

My story is a little different. I had DD#1 when I was 19 and actively trying to prevent pregnancy then spent 8 years TTC DD#2!
DD#2 is a clomid baby. I conceived her on our 3rd round but 1st round at 100mg.

We have decided to ttc#3. My ever wonderful FS has started me on 100mg clomid CD 3-7. Plus my prenatals, B12 and metformin.

I am currently CD#5 so I am up to dose 3 tonight.

So far the side effects have been pretty mild.

Hey ladies! I start my first round of clomid tomorrow, I'd love to follow along with everyone!

DH and I have been married 1 year on the 21st, we are both 26 and have been TTC #1 since Oct. 2013... Diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago. Cycles range between 40-65 days. On CD 68 I started Provera, and finally started AF yesterday! I was not ovulating on my own, and really hoping 50mg of Clomid does the trick. Going to start OPK's on CD 10. Wishing the best for everyone out there TTC.

Yay! Welcome more first cycle'rs!

AF just started today, I thought I'd need to use Provera to start so that's good! I have PCOS also and usually only have 1 to 3 cycles a year. But since I started metformin my cycles have shortened! Last one was 79 and then the one that ended yesterday was 61! Which is still long but I'm still excited!

So I'm taking 50 mg of Clomid CD5 to CD9. I'm so excited to finally be here! My doctor warned me not to expect to conceive the first try or two because my cycles are still long but to keep up exercise and eating healthy and that it should help. So fingers crossed!!

My first two cycles won't be monitored. Is everyone going to be pretty monitored?

Good luck ladies
My cycles wont be monitored at all... doc gave me 4 months supply of clomid and told me to come back when they were done!

We won't be monitored at all for at least the next 3 cycles. My FS said since it was proven last time I ovulated on 100mg that it should this time. FX for everyone.

Oh nice okay, I was kind of worried about not being monitored but now I'm not as much lol thanks!

I'll be in Vegas while I'm taking the clomid so hopefully I don't get super emotional! My mom said I should wait for the next cycle but then DH pointed out that might not be for two months since my cycles have been over 60 days for the last three cycles.

What if any side effects are you experiencing ladies? Today will be dose 4 and I feel like my core body temp is up and I am so overly emotional. I am not having wild mood swings but I am crying at the drop of a hat, it's insane.

Aw! Good thing you're almost to the last day of your clomid then!

Hi everyone! I am bran new to this site, but I did just start my first round of 100 mg clomid last night! I have pcos and have had issues my entire life but I am trying to keep positive and hope it works! If not I have to to go an endocrinoligst, fertility dr and get a hystrosalpenogram (which is scary enough just saying the word!). I am not being monitored now but if we have to test further I will be. I'm very happy I found this discussion board, I was starting to feel alone!

PS Ziva is an awesome name! Where did you get it?

Jess we got the name Ziva for the TV show NCIS. I wish we could say it was a more magical story :p My main aim was that I don't want my children to have overly common name but also nothing to out there.

Welcome Cntwait2BaMom I too have PCOS which is why I am also on 100mg clomid. Don't loose faith, it took us a long time but clomi was my magic ticket.

AFM: dose 4 complete, only one more to go. My last dose tomorrow will also be my birthday! Then it will be all stations go.

Hey ladies, I havnt had any symptoms from clomid and im on day 4 as well. I am a bit emotional, to sad movies or news, but that has been ever since my MC in march so i dont put it down to clomid.

Welcome Cntwait2bamom!

I don't start my Clomid for 3 more days. We have a lot of day 4'ers! I have PCOS as well but I'm just being started on 50mg.

Do any of you ladies have pcos and normal cycles without clomid?

That's what I'm worried about because sometimes I only have one cycle a year! The last time I took clomid I didn't ovulate for months, like 5 months!
