Buddies for first round of Clomid?

Hi guys- going to be starting clomid with PCOS diagnosis- dr is offering choice of clomid alone or with metformin.. really concerned with side effects of metformin. Anyone have any advice or experience to offer?

I have done clomid with and without metformin. I conceived my one year old on 100mg clomid and 1500mg metformin. Though it worked I hate the side effects of the metformin on me. I get constant headache and nauseous to the point where I couldnt keep much food down. But in saying that the side effects do start to wear off after the first month. Just make sure you always take it with food and start slowly, so take 1 tablet a day for a week then increase to 2 day for a week then 3 a day.

This time around I was a bit naughty and thought I would try my first round of clomid on its own. I couldnt believe that I got my BFP first round (my daughter was third round). I am only 4 weeks so its still early days.

I have heard that metformin increases your chances when taken for 6 months before you start clomid...I got my BFP first round clomid, and had been taken metformin for 7 or 8 months...it ended in MC though.
The side effects of metformin were brutal...Diarrhea really bad. Thats all I had, lasted about 2 or 3 months. I started with 1500 right from the start, I didnt slowly go up with one pill each week, I was impatient and started all at once. It's worth it.

yes i did!! I am currently 17+1 weeks along. We had a gender scan last weekend while I was back home visiting family and found out we are having a baby GIRL!! so it is 3 girls for us xx

yes i did!! I am currently 17+1 weeks along. We had a gender scan last weekend while I was back home visiting family and found out we are having a baby GIRL!! so it is 3 girls for us xx

Foxy-I go in next Wednesday for a scan to see if I need to do my trigger shot or wait a couple of more days. I hope this is the lucky one for me too lol
