I am SO excited as the builders had said they couldnt start until near the end of September but they phoned and said they could start tomorrow if its ok with us as their work has been rescheduled!!!
I reckon the work will last 2 or so weeks - we have a big landing upstairs next to our bedroom which is a total waste of space - its about the size of a decent size single bedroom but its a totally open area - like a mezannine floor that overlooks the living room. We are having 2 walls and a door put in - bricks, then plaster etc, power points, curtain rail and a new laminate floor..... The easy option would be to use one of the 2 spare rooms downstairs but we'd rather have the nursery right next door to our bedroom upstairs to save on running up and down stairs at night....
When its finished Ill post before and after pics. Hopefully there wont be too much dust and mess while they are doing the work.
Ive been so envious seeing everyones nursery photos and Im so happy that fingers crossed we will have a lovely nursery for LO too!
