bulging membranes

just been told my membranes are bulging, does anyone know if that means m gonna go in anytime soon, dilated to almost 3cm but cervix is still very thick.
really wish id asked at hospital now but we were to busy laughing about bleach

Hey hun, i had a sweep on my last pregnancy and the membranes were "bulging". It is a really good sign.

I think my mw said last time that bag of water is bulging outside of your cervix and can break at any time....get bouncing on a birthing ball or driving over some speed bumps xxxxxxx

oh that is good news!! cos im pretty fed up. i get my hopes up with every little niggle now and even though i know its not gonna be very long even if i go over due im still impatient to meet the little fella and to stop hurting all the time.

Bulging memebranes means that your bag of water is bulging outside of your cervix and can break at any time...Labor for you is more than likely hours away CONGRATS!!

ohh i hope so, hate the last bit of waiting been getting some really strong contactions that actuelly make me cry out (not usual for me, im a drug free type of girlie) but they have only happened a few times since last night. other then them and the dull achey belly im shwing no sign at all that im gonna go soon.
wish someone had a crystal ball

im having a little boy, even the odds out in my house cos i already have three girls so its all about disney princesses and pink here lol

the fact that they are bulging will help you dilate too sweets because of the pressure!

oh i know all about the pressure waddling round like ive got a bowling ball between my legs.. i really do hope its soon, im almost 3cm dilated but cervix is still thick. thought something might of happened last night as mw was not at all gentle with the examination but nothing though she told me not to expect a show as my plug has totally gone.
i know theres alot of good signs im just really impatient x

all sounds ace! the bulging will help with the thinning, like others said get on your ball and do some bouncing!

just got checked again, 3cm and fully effaced so just waiting for contractions to kick in with some regularity (sorry bout spelling) hopefully this is it for me.
