BumGenius One Size 4.0? Pro's & Cons Pls

I am very interested in using reusables for our LO. I am trying to do as much research 1st before i persuade DH. (I know its a lil early for me to be athinking ablout this)
There are so many choices out there and i totally understand that 1 nappy may be brilliant for one mum and not for another. But thats exactly what id like to hear
I came across Bum Genius as they are said to have very good drying times? Which is a top priority for me if i were to use reusables.
Pls pls share your experiences with BumGenius.

*Drying times with no tumble dryers? (I live in Scotland where the weather is rotten most of the time)

*Elastic wearing out after a year? BG's are pretty expensive so i would prefer them to last over a year. How long have your Bg's lasted?

*Washing? 40 degree or 60 degrees?

*Leakage?

*Bulkiness - does it in any way interfer with your growing LO

*Your personnal thoughts or advice for a novice.

*Elastic wearing out after a year? BG's are pretty expensive so i would prefer them to last over a year. How long have your Bg's lasted? We have used BGs for over a year (baby is potty trained now) and elastic never wore out

*Washing? 40 degree or 60 degrees? I wash on hot, so not sure what temp that is, we have hot, warm or cold so guessing the 60?

*Leakage? NEVER!!! There are lots of different BGs, I haven't used the 4.0 but have used the 3.0, they are very similar, and those were our nighttime diapers, with both inserts we never had leaks! I also love the Flips and organic aio (or elementals I think they are now called) from bumgenius

*Bulkiness - does it in any way interfer with your growing LO? Nope not at all, the 3.0s (4.0s should be about the same) are a bit bulky that's why they were our nighttime diapers, the flips and elementals are VERY trim though

*Your personnal thoughts or advice for a novice. I love bumgenius but they won't work well if you plan to start at birth. They would be quite bulky then and probably not fit so well, most birth to potty are usually really big if you really use them at birth and start to fit better around 2mo depending on how big your baby is so I would recommend some prefolds and sized diapers for those first few months.

BG v3's are awesome...so I would imagine the v4's are even better!
