hi all, im 21 weeks pregnant but my tummy is still quite flabby and soft. i would have been a little overwieght pre pregnancy but nothing major. i thought my tummy would be getting harder now too but its not.i just look like ive eaten too much cake.... anyone else the same?? this is my first pregnancy!

I don't carry any extra subcutaneous fat on my tummy but I only noticed my uterus pushing out making a hardened bump shape around 23 weeks. With a teenie bit of fat on then I guess it could take a few weeks longer to look noticeably pregnant, but you should have a lovely bump by 25 weeks!

thanks xjessicax you almost expect to be huge around now haha! hope ur keeping well x

I was cross that I didnt get a bump earlier...but now thinking about it practically, I can imagine its probably incredibly annoying! Just think of it as you have managed HALF your pregnancy being reasonable comfortable! My bump has only JUST come out, I still have a way to go before its big enough to get in the way so I guess it saves me lugging around a heavy stretch marked bump for months and months! I am going mountain treking in March and I will be nearing 30 weeks then!

Before I got pregnant I always had a bit of a belly, it was where most of my weight went. I was worrying incase I wouldn't get a bump because of it but now at nearly 35 weeks there's no mistaking im pregnant lol. I can't see my feet!

Anyway I noticed that my belly was starting to round out from the top at around 21/22 weeks. Ever since then its just got bigger and rounder and firmer. The only problem with my bump is because of my belly fat beforehand, the bottom bit below my belly button is still soft and flabby and just sort of "hangs" there. Its horrible but above that it looks like a proper bump.

Anyway don't worry about the bump, it will be there before you know it :)

This happened to me too - at first it seems like the bump just pushes all the fat out further, so I just looked fatter! But now I can really feel the bump under the flab, and it looks like a bump, at almost 25 wks. Don't worry, it will happen.
